About This Mod

This mod is a complete rework of the standard skill classes in The Sims 4. It adds more personality to the learning process and improves the overall interaction for a more immersive experience.

Gameplay Improvements

The mod fixes a long-standing EA bug that often prevented Sims from entering the building (the “rabbit hole”). With this fix, Sims now attend their classes properly for the full 105-minute duration. To prevent wasted money, the registration window has been adjusted: you can now only sign up for courses until 8:00 PM. Previously, the game allowed registration until 9:00 PM, but since classes cannot start after that time, late registrations would often fail immediately after payment.

Better Accessibility and Pricing

In an effort to fix an EA oversight, children are now officially allowed to attend skill classes. Additionally, the base price for all classes has been reduced from 250 to 100 Simoleons. To make education even more accessible for the whole family, children, teens, and elders now automatically receive a 50% discount on all course fees.

Emotional Learning and UI

Learning is now more dynamic and rewards your Sim’s emotional state. Sims gain an additional skill boost if they attend a class while Focused, Energized, or Inspired, and they are also much more likely to return home in a good mood. The user interface has also been overhauled: the skill picker is now much cleaner, as incorrectly displayed horse-related skills have been removed. New, clear category icons have been added to ensure easier navigation and faster selection.

Custom Skills

Skills are sorted into categories based on their internal tags. Please be aware that some modders do not provide their custom skills with the necessary tags. As a result, these specific skills may remain uncategorized and will not appear in their expected category. If you cannot find a custom skill, you will always be able to find it in the “Show All” category.
